In the surroundings, there are a large number of beautiful Provençal villages: Gigondas, Sablet, Séguret, Le Barroux are close by. Within an hour's drive: Les Baux-de-Provence, St Rémy-de-Provence, Gordes, Oppède, Lacoste and many more.


Mont Ventoux, the highest summit of Provence at 1954 meters, is a mythical mountain for cyclists but you can drive your car to the top, if you don't prefer to walk.

In the summer, there are refreshing walks in the waters of the Toulourenc Valley, in the gorges of the Nesque, around the Lac du Paty.

A must for families is a visit of the Alexis Gruss Circus in Piolenc near Orange.

Large weekly Provençal markets in Vaison-la-Romaine and Carpentras, small weekly markets in most villages.
